Machinist

Machinist Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of machining experience in manufacturing or fabrication (preferred)
• Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Strong math skills and mechanical aptitude
• Willingness to submit to required pre-employment screenings

Machinist Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and/or CNC lathes, mills, and related equipment
• Machine parts to tight tolerances using steel, stainless, and aluminum
• Select tooling, fixtures, and machining methods for custom work
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Make machine adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency
• Deburr, finish, and inspect completed components
• Collaborate with welders, fabricators, and production staff
• Perform basic maintenance and maintain a clean workspace
• Follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE

Preferred Skills

• Experience with both CNC and manual machining
• Basic G-code/programming knowledge
• Familiarity with welding and fabrication processes
• Forklift or overhead crane experience

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Manufacturing setting with noise, dust, and heat exposure
• Ability to stand for full shifts and lift up to 50 lbs
• Frequent bending, reaching, and movement throughout the day
