Job Description / Desired Qualifications:
· The Infrastructure Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions that improve the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of the Company's IT infrastructure.
· This role focuses on automating the provisioning and lifecycle management of servers, storage, networking, and virtualization platforms across VMware, Hyper-V, and physical environments using technologies such as Ansible, Terraform, Python, PowerShell, and Git-based workflows.
· In addition to building and maintaining automation frameworks, the engineer serves as a technical leader and champion for infrastructure automation across the organization.
· The role collaborates with stakeholders to deliver standardized, enterprise-wide solutions, develops reusable automation assets and best practices, integrates automation with operational processes, and mentors peers to accelerate adoption of modern infrastructure and DevOps capabilities while reducing manual effort and improving operational consistency.
Must-have skills:
· Software development experience, Git, Python, Ansible, Linux administration, Windows administration
Nice to have skills:
· Agile software development, Jira, OpenShift/Kubernetes, VMware vSphere virtualization infrastructure, F5, DNS/DHCP/Infoblox, Firewall, IIS
What does the day to day look like?
· As part of a Scrum team, the Infrastructure Automation Engineer delivers automation and infrastructure-as-code solutions assigned through sprints using Jira.
· The role balances coding, testing, troubleshooting, collaboration with stakeholders, and participation in Agile ceremonies to continuously improve the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of the organization's infrastructure.
