Lead Systems Engineer

Role Overview
This is a high-impact systems leadership role responsible for ensuring that all subsystems—mechanical, electrical, autonomy, mission systems, and vendor components—integrate into a cohesive and functional product family .
You are not coordinating—you are accountable for making the entire system work end-to-end .

Key Responsibilities

• Own and maintain full system architecture across platforms
• Define and enforce interfaces across subsystems and vendors
• Develop and manage:
• • Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
  • Requirements traceability and verification logic
• Lead architecture trade studies and platform commonality decisions
• Identify and mitigate system-level risks early
• Drive:
• • Design reviews (PDR/CDR)
  • Integration reviews
  • Test readiness reviews
• Resolve cross-discipline integration conflicts
• Maintain configuration control and system consistency
• Lead architecture decisions for:
• • Autonomy integration
  • Mission systems
  • Ground Control Systems (GCS)
• Chair technical discussions with vendors and internal teams

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or related
• 7+ years in:
• • Systems engineering
  • Integration
  • Complex product delivery
• Strong experience with:
• • Multi-disciplinary integration
  • ICD development and management
• Experience with:
• • Requirements tools (DOORS, DOORS NG, JAMA, etc.)
• Experience participating in:
• • PDR / CDR or equivalent reviews
• Ability to work across:
• • Mechanical
  • Electrical
  • Software
  • Test domains
