Job Description

  • Manage a litigation-driven caseload from inception through resolution
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda
  • Conduct legal research and case analysis on complex factual and legal issues
  • Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and trials with increasing responsibility
  • Take and defend depositions and participate in mediations and settlement negotiations
  • Collaborate closely with partners, associates, paralegals, and legal staff on case strategy
  • Communicate effectively with clients, insurers, and opposing counsel
  • Maintain organized case files and meet litigation deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
  • Active Michigan Bar license or eligibility for prompt admission
  • 2+ years of civil litigation experience preferred
  • Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
  • Ability to manage multiple matters with attention to detail and deadlines
  • Professional judgment, integrity, and a team-oriented mindset
