Position Overview 

A leading Level I Trauma Center in Pennsylvania is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Plastic Surgeon for a one-week inpatient trauma call assignment beginning November 23, 2026.

This opportunity consists entirely of inpatient hospital call with no scheduled clinic responsibilities. The physician will provide plastic and reconstructive trauma coverage at a high-acuity regional referral center utilizing Epic EMR.

The assignment offers premium daily compensation, manageable credentialing, and the opportunity for ongoing monthly call coverage following the initial assignment.

Provider Compensation: $2,600 per 24-hour call shift

Provider Pay Ranking: Top 10–15% of comparable Pennsylvania Plastic Surgery locum opportunities.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide 24-hour inpatient plastic surgery call coverage.
  • Evaluate emergency department and inpatient consults.
  • Manage traumatic soft tissue injuries.
  • Perform reconstructive procedures as clinically indicated.
  • Collaborate with Trauma Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Neurosurgery, and other consulting services.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary trauma care.
  • Complete timely documentation within Epic.
  • Provide postoperative management and follow-up for hospitalized patients.
Skills & Experience Required Qualifications
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible Plastic Surgery
  • Active Pennsylvania Medical License or IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ)
  • Pennsylvania DEA
  • Minimum five years of clinical experience
  • Comfortable practicing independently within a Level I Trauma Center
  • Epic experience preferred

  • Microsurgical experience welcomed but not specifically required
