Position Overview

CEC is seeking a compassionate and experienced Neurologist to provide specialized care to patients at our Bethpage location. This flexible, part-time opportunity is ideal for a physician looking to make a meaningful impact while maintaining work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

    Provide comprehensive neurological evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up careConduct patient assessments including medical history, examinations, and necessary proceduresEnsure patients and caregivers receive clear follow-up instructions and care plansCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nursing staff and direct care providersCoordinate referrals within CEC for specialty services and consultationsParticipate in care coordination with internal clinicians to ensure continuity of careSupport efficient patient flow and clinic operationsBe available for occasional after-hours consultations or emergencies, as needed

Qualifications

Required:

    MD or DO with current licensure in New York StateBoard Certified in NeurologyActive DEA licenseExperience or demonstrated ability to work with persons with Intellectual and Developmental DisabilitiesValid malpractice coverage (provided by CEC for W-2 employees)

Preferred:

    Experience in developmental, behavioral, or neurodevelopmental NeurologyStrong interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams

Schedule & Work Environment

    1 full day per week (flexible scheduling based on provider availability)Collaborative, mission-driven clinical environmentOpportunity to work with a highly specialized and underserved patient population
