Overview
Join a mission-critical data center team responsible for maintaining the electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and control systems that support 24/7 operations. You'll troubleshoot equipment, perform preventative maintenance, respond to incidents, and help ensure facility uptime, safety, and reliability.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience supporting critical facilities, industrial environments, data centers, utilities, manufacturing, healthcare, or large commercial buildings
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics, one-lines, P&IDs, and technical documentation
  • Experience in one or more of the following:
    • Electrical: Switchgear, UPS, generators, power distribution
    • Mechanical/HVAC: Chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, pumps, cooling towers, chilled water systems
    • Facility Operations: Integrated electrical, mechanical, and controls systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of safe work practices, including LOTO, PPE, and industrial safety procedures
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-risk environments
  • Strong communication, accountability, and decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with critical power, cooling, HVAC, BMS/EPMS, or controls systems
  • Background in commissioning, maintenance planning, vendor coordination, or acceptance testing
  • OEM training (Schneider, Eaton, Vertiv, Siemens, ABB, Johnson Controls, Trane, Honeywell)
  • Electrical or HVAC trade certifications
  • EPA 608 Certification, NFPA 70E, or similar safety training
  • CMMS experience
  • Data center or critical infrastructure training (ASHRAE, Uptime, CHD, DCCA, etc.)

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot critical facility systems
  • Respond to equipment alarms, incidents, and outages
  • Perform root cause analysis and support corrective actions
  • Assist with upgrades, retrofits, and commissioning activities
  • Follow and improve operational procedures, documentation, and maintenance practices
  • Partner with vendors, engineers, contractors, and operations teams to ensure safe and reliable performance
  • Communicate technical issues, risks, and recommendations clearly
  • Senior-level technicians may lead complex troubleshooting efforts and mentor junior team members
