Job Summary
A respected legal services firm in Tampa, FL is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its litigation practice on a direct hire basis. This opportunity is ideal for a litigation attorney who wants meaningful case responsibility, direct client interaction, and the chance to work on commercial, business, civil, insurance, property, and contract dispute matters.
The Associate Attorney will manage cases from inception through resolution while working closely with experienced attorneys and legal support staff. This role offers a collaborative legal environment, supportive leadership, and the opportunity to continue developing litigation skills through substantive writing, research, depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial, business, and civil litigation matters from case intake through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents.
- Conduct legal research, analyze complex legal issues, and develop litigation strategies.
- Take and defend depositions, prepare clients and witnesses, and participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, experts, court personnel, attorneys, and staff.
- Maintain litigation calendars, case deadlines, case files, and overall matter organization.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $120,000 to $150,000 per year.
- Pay is expected to be around $120,000, with flexibility to pay more for the right candidate.
