This General Laborer role supports daily yard operations by handling, organizing, and preparing materials for shipment. You will work primarily outdoors on a first-shift schedule, helping to ensure orders are accurate, properly staged, and safely secured for transport.
Responsibilities
- Work in the yard to support daily material handling and logistics activities.
- Verify that each order contains the correct number and type of materials before shipment.
- Pick materials from designated locations according to order requirements.
- Stage materials in the appropriate areas to prepare them for loading and transport.
- Count materials accurately to maintain correct inventory levels and order fulfillment.
- Band and secure scaffolding materials and other items to ensure safe handling and transport.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to assist with packing, securing, and preparing materials.
- Assist with loading and packaging materials for shipment or movement within the yard.
- Operate a forklift to move materials in the yard, if trained and authorized.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Experience performing general labor tasks in a physical, hands-on work environment.
- Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to use power tools safely and follow proper operating procedures.
- Experience with packing, loading, and packaging materials in a warehouse or yard setting.
- Ability to perform picking and staging tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately for basic measurements.
- Strong attention to detail when counting and verifying materials.
- Capability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods.
- Commitment to following safety guidelines and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Forklift experience is a plus and may allow you to move materials in the yard using a forklift.
- Previous experience working with scaffolding materials or construction-related products is beneficial.
- Experience in a yard, warehouse, or outdoor material handling environment is an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with coworkers and supervisors.
- Reliability and punctuality for first-shift work, Monday through Friday.

Work Environment
This role is based in a yard environment, where you will work primarily outdoors handling scaffolding and other materials. The schedule is first shift, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. You will regularly use hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and material handling equipment, and may operate a forklift if qualified. The work involves physical activity, including lifting, carrying, standing, and moving materials throughout the shift. The environment is fast-paced and safety-focused, with an expectation of appropriate work attire suitable for an outdoor, industrial setting.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
