Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position in Florida, requiring at least two years of recent IR and critical care experience at a Level 2 trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center.

  • Interventional Radiology unit within a Level 2 trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center hospital setting
  • \n
  • Day shift schedule: 5x7-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM
  • \n
  • On-call required two days per week and every fourth weekend
  • \n
  • Hurricane response sign-up required
  • \n
  • Patient population includes neuro vascular, peripheral vascular, and trauma cases
  • \n
  • Procedures include neuro embolizations, cerebral thrombectomies, paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsy procedure support, and peripheral vascular procedures
  • \n
  • Skills utilized include administering and monitoring procedural sedation, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, radiation and laser safety, sheath removal and monitoring/closure devices, and pressure ulcer prevention
  • \n
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • \n
  • 13-week contract

Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active FL or Compact RN license currently in hand
  • \n
  • Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • \n
  • Minimum two years of recent IR experience required
  • \n
  • Critical care experience required
  • \n
  • Experience with neuro vascular procedures, paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsy procedure support, trauma, and peripheral vascular procedures required
  • \n
  • Experience with neuro embolizations and cerebral thrombectomies required
  • \n
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • \n
  • Degree must be from an accredited school, or from an institution approved by the Florida Board of Nursing (FBON) with at least two years of recent consecutive acute care experience within the past 24 months in a US hospital
  • \n
  • All certifications must be current at time of consideration
  • \n
Additional Information\n

  • A pass/fail Basic Arrhythmia (EKG) assessment is required; candidates who do not score 100% on lethal rhythms will have 24 hours to complete a retake and must achieve an overall Angoff score of 83% or greater, 100% on the lethal rhythm section, and 83% on all other sections
