American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float Pool position at a large Level I Trauma Academic Medical Center, requiring ICU experience and flexibility to float across multiple specialties and campuses.

- Short-term acute care hospital setting at a Level I Trauma, Academic Medical Center with 1,567 staffed beds \n
- Critical Care Float Pool covering 5 ICU specialties across two campuses (York Street Campus and Saint Raphael Campus), which are approximately 2 blocks apart with a shuttle available \n
- Float to step-down units as needed, including a pulmonary step-down unit with a 1:3 patient ratio \n
- Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM \n
- Every other weekend required \n
- No on-call requirements \n
- Charting via Epic \n
- 13-week contract \n
- \n
- Active CT or Compact RN license required (pending license accepted, but must be active prior to start date) \n
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) \n
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required \n
- Trauma center experience at a large facility required \n
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates \n
- Clean nursing license with no prior disciplinary actions \n
- 1 professional reference required for consideration \n

- First-time travelers are welcome to apply \n
- Candidates who were previously permanent staff at this health system must have been separated for at least 2 years to be considered \n
- RTO of 7 days or fewer may be auto-approved; requests exceeding 7 days require facility approval \n
- Block scheduling is not available for this position \n
- Flu vaccine is required — declinations are not accepted \n
- COVID vaccine and booster required; religious or medical exemptions may be considered \n
- Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as required by the facility \n
- Parking is available at a cost of approximately $125/month \n
