Job Description
We are hiring per diem Occupational Therapists to join our dynamic care team at Southbridge Rehabilitation & Health Care Center. As an OT, you will provide patient/resident assessment, care planning, direct treatment, and consultation to a general rehab caseload. You will also participate in the clinical team process, provide teaching and training to caregiver staff, and supervise other therapists, assistants, aides, and students as required.
Up to $50 an hour with weekly pay.
Responsibilities:
Screens patients/residents
Evaluates patients/residents and develops appropriate care plans
Provides direct resident treatments in accordance with an established plan of care
Participates in clinical team meetings and decision-making process
Consults with and trains patients/residents and caregivers
Monitors efficiencies and collaborates with supervisor
Documents activities according to company clinical documentation system
Demonstrates consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations
Communicates effectively with patients, residents, team members, customers, and supervisor
Participates in quality improvement activities
Responsible for service and operational excellence of all assigned activities
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science or Master of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy
CEU's per state licensure requirements
Appropriate licensing requirements by individual states must be maintained
Specific Requirements:
Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Standing and walking for significant amounts of time is necessary
Communication skills required for directing staff, customer relations, and marketing activities
Ability to perform documentation needs, manipulations of equipment, and direct patient care
Ability to cope with periodic stress associated with changing census and staffing demands
Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively for self and others
Ability to deal with a wide range of personality types, ages, and diverse cultural backgrounds
