Job Description
- Manage a caseload of workers' compensation litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Conduct legal research and develop effective litigation strategies.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and case evaluations.
- Represent clients in hearings, mediations, depositions, and court proceedings.
- Prepare witnesses and clients for litigation proceedings.
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to deliver exceptional client service.
- Maintain organized case files while meeting litigation deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, insurance representatives, and the courts.
- Stay current on developments in Florida workers' compensation law.
Qualifications
- Active Florida Bar license in good standing.
- 2+ years of workers' compensation attorney experience.
- Trial experience required.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Experience drafting litigation documents and managing active caseloads.
- Proficiency with legal research platforms such as Westlaw.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team environment.
- Prior law firm experience required.
