About the Role:

The Village at Marymount is a mission-driven skilled nursing and assisted living community dedicated to exceptional resident care, teamwork, and a supportive environment. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled PRN Speech Language Pathologist to join our rehabilitation team and support residents in achieving their highest level of communication, cognition, and swallowing function.

Position Summary:

As a PRN Speech Language Pathologist, you will provide high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic services to residents with communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders. This role supports both skilled nursing and assisted living residents, focusing on individualized treatment plans that enhance safety, independence, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing evaluations
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings
• Provide therapy for communication disorders, dysphagia, cognitive impairments, and voice issues
• Complete documentation including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, dietary, and interdisciplinary team members to support resident goals
• Participate in care plan meetings as needed
• Educate residents, families, and staff on communication strategies, swallowing safety, and compensatory techniques
• Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility guidelines

Qualifications:

• Current Ohio Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license in good standing
• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCCSLP) preferred; CFY considered with appropriate supervision
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care strongly preferred
• Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing resident needs
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
