Position SummaryThe Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily clinical operations of an assigned nursing unit, ensuring the highest quality of resident care while providing leadership and support to nursing staff.
This position serves as a key member of the interdisciplinary team and plays an important role in maintaining regulatory compliance, resident satisfaction, and clinical excellence.
Essential ResponsibilitiesSupervise the administration of medications and treatments.
Provide leadership and oversight to Charge Nurses, CNAs, and Medication Aides.
Complete admission assessments and routine resident evaluations.
Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in health status.
Coordinate resident care with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members.
Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare providers.
Assist with care planning and implementation of individualized resident care plans.
Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, including infection prevention and safety standards.
Mentor, coach, and support nursing staff to promote quality outcomes.
Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing in the State of Georgia.
Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Previous Unit Manager, Charge Nurse, or supervisory experience.
Experience in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care environment.
