Speech Language Pathologist - Acute Care + Schools

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Critical Access Hospital/Schools - Permanent Employee

Seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders in a variety of patients. The SLP will also provide community outreach services at local public schools.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnosis and Treatment: Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. Develop and implement effective, goal-oriented treatment plans.

• Patient Education: Counsel patients and their families about test results, treatment options, and expectations.

• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and maintain communication with staff and outside agencies.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for all patient visits.

• Outreach: Provide services at public schools in Glendive.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: A Master's degree in speech-language pathology or a related field.

• Experience: 1-3 years of experience is preferred.

• Licensing & Certification: An active Montana SLP license and BLS certification are required. ASHA certification is preferred.

• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer literacy, and the ability to comply with all regulatory standards.

• Physical: The role involves prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer and requires the ability to lift up to 15 pounds.

Additional Information

• Shift: This is a non-exempt, hourly position with a typical schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
