Responsibilities & Requirements:

Speech Language Pathologist makes assessments and provides appropriate services to help residents improve and/or regain skills as part of a comprehensive therapy regimen. This level of care involves problem solving, working with an interdisciplinary team and implementing a proactive plan of care to maintain the highest level of functioning.

• Position requires a master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology with Certificate of Clinical Competence and current NYS license

• Experience in skilled nursing facility and subacute care

• Excellent customer service skills; cheerful and pleasant demeanor

• Positive attitude and outgoing personality with staff, residents and family members

• Self-motivated with flawless time and attendance

• Exceptional time management skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Respect for residents’ privacy and rights; display of genuine concern and empathy for the elderly
