Medical Assistant/LPN - Pulmonary Hypertension Clinic

University Physicians' Association is seeking qualified applicants for Medical Assistant or LPN position for our specialty Pulmonary Hypertension clinic located in Knoxville, TN. Candidates must be detail-oriented. Applicants must be familiar with giving instructions, writing orders, and making the patients their top priority. This position will work closely with physicians to provide a seamless patient experience.

Job duties include but are not limited to, assisting physicians with patient care, scheduling appointments, rooming patients during clinic, medication reconciliation, vitals, and 6 MWT. Also before clinic on established patients, chart prep, scanning, obtaining outside medical records. Post clinic, follow up on labs, EKGs, ABG, and sleep studies/referrals.

This position also requires the ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with physicians, patients and their families while conveying a positive image of the practice.

Requirements:

• Strong communication skills, critical thinking skills, attention to detail, time management, and organization are critical to the overall success of the candidate.
• Medical Assistant Certification
• Prior medical experience is required
