MRI Technologist – Radiology MRI specialty in Potsdam, NY, US. Start date 08/10/2026 for a travel - temporary assignment lasting several weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,222 per week – $2,364 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: 3×12-hour days. Setting: hospital-based MRI/Radiology department.

Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of MRI exams on Siemens Espree 1.5T, including brain, spine (cervical, thoracic, lumbar), abdomen, pelvis, breast, orbits, and head/neck studies; vascular MRI (MRA/MRV) as needed; advanced sequences (diffusion, gradient echo, MIP, MPR) and standard protocols
- Prepare patients, establish peripheral IV access, administer contrast, and operate the BRACCO power injector; apply surface coils and handle extremity imaging as required
- Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout the exam; manage isolation precautions and PPE as indicated
- Ensure accurate EPIC charting and complete documentation in the radiology workflow; adhere to department imaging protocols and quality standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, Respiratory, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Work, Transport, Rapid Response; interpretive services) to optimize patient care and throughput
- Float as needed within the MRI/Radiology area to cover staffing needs and maintain workflow
Requirements
- Active New York State license in radiologic technology (in hand to submit)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years MRI experience; posting notes willingness to consider first-time travelers if candidate has significant experience
- Proficiency with Siemens Espree 1.5T MRI systems; experience with MR contrast administration and BRACCO injector; capability with coils and various imaging protocols
- EPIC charting experience required for submission
- Ability to work in a hospital radiology environment and float to related areas as needed
- Distance/local rule: candidates within approximately 75 miles of the assignment facility are not accepted
- COVID-19 vaccine not required; flu vaccine status unknown
