Medical Records Nurse (LPN)

REPUBLIC NURSING & REHAB, located in REPUBLIC, Missouri is currently seeking a Medical Records Nurse to join our team.

Medical Records Nurse Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collects, assembles, checks and files residents’ charts as required

• Ensures records and charts are kept current as required

• Assists in recording all incidents/accidents in accordance to established guidelines

• Participates with other team members in planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care and other patient activities

• Assists in the admission, transfer, and discharge of patients

• Retrieves medical records when requested by authorized personnel

• Maintains environmental conditions conducive to the comfort and safety of patients

• Ensures that no records leave the building without the Administrators approval

• Performs other duties as assigned

• One weekend on call per month

• Must be able to work as a charge nurse as needed

Medical Records Specialist Qualifications and Skills:

• LPN Licensure: 1 year (Preferred)

• Medical Record Experience

• Ability to keep accurate well-organized records
