At Central Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, we understand the importance of providing high-quality care to our residents. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate (SLP) Speech Language Pathologist to join our team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of others.

Key Responsibilities:

Resident Evaluation & Treatment Planning: Assess residents' speech and language needs and develop personalized treatment plans
Activity Selection: Design activities that help residents improve independence in their daily activities
Progress Monitoring: Observe and assess resident performance, adjusting treatments as necessary, and preparing detailed progress reports
Rehabilitation Support: Assist in the rehabilitation of residents affected by injury, illness, or other conditions
Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure a clean, safe, and supportive environment for residents and staff
Confidentiality: Maintain resident confidence by ensuring the secure handling of confidential information
Documentation: Keep accurate and up-to-date records of resident care and progress, auditing department records as necessary
Team Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare teams to contribute to a cooperative and supportive team environment

Requirements:

Education: Graduate of an accredited Speech Therapy Program
Licensing: Current New York State Speech Language Pathologist License
