About this job
Job Description
Are you currently working in a building where:
"Teamwork" means 17 people are copied on an email and nobody responds?
Care plan meetings feel like hostage negotiations?
The phrase "quick question" is never quick?
You spend more time explaining why therapy matters than actually providing it?
Leadership support is rumored to exist but has never been officially confirmed?
If so, keep reading.
Because we have a proposition.
THE LODGE AT RED ROCKS IS HIRING AN OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST.And before you roll your eyes and assume this is another "We're like family!" advertisement...
We're not.
Families are messy.
We prefer highly functional interdisciplinary teams.
WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?For starters, our NHA is the real deal.
Not the "my door is always open" type who mysteriously disappears whenever a problem arises.
The kind who shows up, pitches in, supports the team, and actually understands that happy staff create better outcomes.
Our IDT?
Let's just say if interdisciplinary teamwork were an Olympic sport, we'd be drug tested.
Nursing collaborates.
Therapy collaborates.
Social services collaborates.
Dietary collaborates.
People actually answer each other's calls.
It's weird. We know.
WHAT YOU'LL DOYou know... Occupational Therapy.
Evaluate residents
Create treatment plans
Improve independence and quality of life
Help residents safely return to meaningful activities
Collaborate with the team
Complete documentation
Work your clinical magic
Nothing shocking there.
The difference is you'll have a team that supports you while you're doing it.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FORAn OT who:
Knows their stuff
Loves working with older adults
Believes dignity matters
Understands that every resident has a story
Can balance compassion with clinical excellence
Has a sense of humor because healthcare without humor is just paperwork
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
Current Colorado Occupational Therapist License
Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain
Knowledge of Skilled Nursing, Long-Term Care, and Post-Acute Rehabilitation
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to meet documentation and regulatory requirements
You can explain Medicare regulations without crying.
You know what PDPM stands for without Googling it.
You've ever fixed a wheelchair, found a hearing aid, solved a family concern, and treated a resident all before lunch.
You understand that therapy gyms occasionally double as detective agencies.
If you're looking for a place where everyone is miserable, communication is optional, and leadership hides behind closed doors...
This probably isn't your place.
If you're looking for a building where people genuinely care, support one another, and take pride in the work they do...
We'd love to meet you.
STILL NOT CONVINCED?Good.
Don't believe us.
Come see for yourself.
Tour the building.
Meet the team.
Ask the tough questions.
Talk to the therapists.
Talk to nursing.
Talk to anyone.
We're confident you'll notice the difference.
