About the Role:
As a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) with Aspire Senior Living Excelsior Springs, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse population of seniors and provide life-enhancing speech therapy services. Your expertise in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders will make a significant impact on the lives of our residents. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.
Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments of residents' speech, language, and swallowing abilities
Develop and implement personalized speech therapy plans to address identified deficits and goals
Provide evidence-based speech therapy interventions to residents, both individually and in groups
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care
Participate in resident care planning and discharge planning processes
Maintain accurate records of resident assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and progress
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Requirements:
Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology (MA/MS) or related field
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong organizational and time management skills
Knowledge of current speech therapy techniques and best practices
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
