Combo Welder and Combo Fitter

Welders need to qualify for CS pipe and structure at a minimum - a WPS will be provided upon applying

Fitters need to be able to work with pipe and structure

• Must be able to work legally and travel outside the US - there will be times you are scheduled to work offshore
• Employee needs to be willing to work 84hrs/week some weeks AND 40hrs/week other weeks depending on workload. If the workshop load is low employees would be sent offshore whenever possible.
• Employee needs to understand work and safety instructions in English

Important information upon interview:

1. On structural test, back welding is not allowed, penetration must be cleaned and performed from one side only.
2. We do acknowledge that SMAW (stick) is uncommon for the root but this is how our WPS has been written and approved. 90% of candidates fail at this point, please make sure you understand.
3. Welders must read WPS prior to welding to know heat, speed, electrical input. Welder will be provided scrap metal to practice and check heat before starting on coupon.
4. For piping, despite information on WPS, test will be 6G.
