Maintenance Technician – 12 Hour Night Shift
7p to 7a Rotating Schedule, Onsite
Location: Romeoville, IL
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Pay Range: $35.00 - $41.50 DOE

What You’ll Do:

• Perform and assist with minor repairs including carpentry, plumbing, interior painting, refurbishing, and cleaning
• Maintain and troubleshoot production machinery and ancillary equipment
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections, recording findings and maintaining maintenance logs
• Ensure safety protocols are followed, especially lock-out/tag-out procedures
• Oversee equipment change-outs and mold/tooling setups for product runs
• Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs
• Manage parts inventory and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Support utility repairs and building system maintenance
• Assist team leads and other personnel with various tasks as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively
• Mechanical aptitude with familiarity in tools and machinery
• Basic electrical troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Forklift certification (current proof required)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-changing environment
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 50 lbs.), and perform repetitive motions

Nice to Have Skills:

• Knowledge of welding, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Experience with mold and tooling change-outs
• Prior experience working in a manufacturing setting

Preferred Education & Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of experience in maintenance or a similar role
• Experience in manufacturing environments is highly valued

Other Requirements:

• Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required
• Physical stamina to work in varied warehouse conditions, both hot and cold
• Willingness to work outdoors on certain projects
