Master Painter

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Master Painter to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in high-end residential painting, surface preparation, and finishing. This individual takes pride in delivering exceptional craftsmanship, maintains a clean and organized job site, and consistently produces flawless results with minimal supervision.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, patching, skim coating, caulking, and priming as needed.
• Protect floors, trim, furniture, fixtures, and surrounding surfaces using proper masking materials and drop cloths.
• Apply paints, stains, primers, and specialty coatings using brushes, rollers, and airless sprayers.
• Perform drywall repairs, plaster repairs, skim coating, and other surface preparation required for a premium finish.
• Repair and restore damaged surfaces before painting.
• Remove existing paint and finishes through scraping, sanding, or stripping when necessary.
• Produce straight cut lines, smooth finishes, and consistent color application with exceptional attention to detail.
• Maintain all painting equipment, tools, and work areas in clean, safe working condition.
• Follow OSHA and company safety procedures at all times.
• Work independently or lead a small crew to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site throughout each project.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional residential painting experience required.
• Extensive experience with high-end interior and exterior residential painting.
• Expert knowledge of surface preparation, drywall repairs, skim coating, patching, sanding, caulking, priming, and finish painting.
• Proficient with brushes, rollers, airless sprayers, and specialty painting techniques.
• Ability to match textures and perform high-quality touch-ups.
• Strong understanding of premium paint products and proper application methods.
• Ability to read work orders and follow project specifications.
• Reliable transportation to job sites throughout Manhattan.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering exceptional craftsmanship.

Required Certifications

• OSHA 30 Certification (Required)
• SST 10 Certification (Required)
