Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans grounded in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles for children and adults with developmental disabilities.
- Conduct functional behavior assessments and behavioral psychological evaluations to identify underlying causes of challenging behaviors.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data meticulously to monitor client progress and adjust interventions accordingly.
- Provide direct behavioral therapy sessions in various settings, including home-based environments, ensuring adherence to ethical standards and HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, conduct intake assessments, and support diagnostic evaluations.
- Educate families, caregivers, and educational staff on behavior management strategies and ABA techniques to promote consistency across environments.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, update medical records, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to patient assessment and treatment.
Experience:
- Proven experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly those on the autism spectrum.
- Demonstrated expertise in applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavioral health interventions, and functional assessments.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance for patient confidentiality.
- Hands-on experience conducting behavioral therapy in home-based settings or clinical environments supporting neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Strong skills in data collection methods, behavioral psychological assessments, and diagnostic evaluation procedures.
- Prior involvement in patient intake processes and developing individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs.
- Knowledge of special education practices and supporting autism spectrum disorder support strategies is highly desirable.
