What You'll Do
As a Maintenance Mechanic I, you'll work alongside experienced maintenance professionals to keep our manufacturing equipment operating safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Assist with machine installations and equipment upgrades.
- Inspect machinery to identify wear, damage, or potential failures.
- Replace and repair machine components using hand and power tools.
- Read blueprints, electrical schematics, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams.
- Perform basic welding and fabrication repairs as needed.
- Operate machine shop equipment such as lathes, drill presses, and grinders.
- Maintain spare parts inventory and document completed maintenance work.
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
- Support production by minimizing equipment downtime.
- Perform other maintenance duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
1-2 years of maintenance mechanic experience in a manufacturing, packaging, or industrial environment.
- Basic knowledge of:
- Mechanical systems
- Electrical troubleshooting
- Hydraulics and pneumatics
- Preventive maintenance
Ability to:
- Read mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Safely use hand and power tools.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Learn new equipment and maintenance techniques.
Preferred Skills
- Welding or fabrication experience
- Experience with packaging or manufacturing equipment
- Machine troubleshooting experience
- Knowledge of industrial safety practices
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Flexibility to work overtime when needed
