Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is partnering with a respected client in Romulus, Michigan within the Modular Home Manufacturing industry. 

Finish Carpenter Job Summary: 

• Pay: $21/hr + depending on experience. 

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday – Thursday, with the possibility of overtime on Friday as required. 

Responsibilities: 

• Install a variety of flooring materials, including but not limited to vinyl, laminate, hardwood, and tile, in modular homes. 

• Measure and cut flooring materials to fit spaces precisely, accounting for walls, corners, and fixtures. 

• Ensure flooring is laid evenly and securely, adhering to company quality standards. 

• Apply adhesives and other finishing materials to secure flooring. 

• Install roofing sheeting (OSB, plywood, or similar materials) on modular home roofs, ensuring proper alignment, security, and adherence to specifications. 

• Apply shrink wrap or other protective coverings to the exteriors of modular homes for weatherproofing and damage prevention during transport and installation. 

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and repairing any imperfections before installation. 

• Perform finishing tasks such as sealing, polishing, and trimming flooring materials to ensure a professional appearance. 

• Inspect completed work to ensure flooring is properly installed and meets both aesthetic and structural requirements. 

• Coordinate with other trades, such as carpenters and electricians, to ensure smooth workflow and project completion. 

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including the proper care and use of tools and equipment. 

• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE while working. 

Finish Carpenter Qualifications: 

• 5+ years of experience in finish carpentry, preferably in a commercial or modular home environment. 

• Ability to work with various flooring materials (vinyl, laminate, hardwood, tile, etc.) and/or roofing sheeting installation, shrink wrapping and weatherproofing techniques.

• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and cutting equipment specific to flooring installation. 

• Strong attention to detail and precision to ensure a high-quality finish. 

• Ability to lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs. 

• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 

• Reliable transportation to and from job site. 

• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering quality craftsmanship.
