Machine Operator (All Shifts Available)

Job Title: Machine Operator Floater
Pay Rate: $18.00/hr + Differentials for 2nd & 3rd Shifts

Location: Slatersville, RI

Duration: PERM

Shift:

• 1st Shift: 6:42 AM – 3:12 PM
• 2nd Shift: 2:42 PM – 11:12 PM
• 3rd Shift: 10:42 PM – 7:12 AM

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for monitoring production runs/orders through the molding machines, checking for quality, and maintaining a clean work area throughout Main Molding and Polycams.

FUNCTIONS:

• Responsibilities include attending up to five presses based on production schedules and manufacturing requirements.
• Checks all molded products hourly for defects.
• Reports any defects to the Team Leader/Processor for timely correction and problem-solving. If the Team Leader/Processor is not available, the Quality Department and Shift Supervisor should be notified.
• Responsible for grinding runners and checking cappers for runners.
• Cleans tracks, bowls, conveyors, and upright conveyors as necessary.
• Hygrades products for defects and performs quality checks.
• Completes labels, places them on boxes, and ensures rejected and accepted products are separated.
• Responsible for cleaning the work area to ensure a safe work environment.
• Operates and monitors grinders and presses, ensuring products are manufactured in accordance with specifications, schedules, and deadlines.
• Maintains a neat and orderly work area, keeping walkways and aisles clear.
• Performs general housekeeping duties such as sweeping and trash removal.
• In performing assigned duties, frequently lifts and/or moves up to 35 lbs.
• Standing, walking, bending, crouching, squatting, and reaching are all required functions of the job.

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:

• May perform Assembly and Inspection functions.
• When work in the primary classification is not available, may perform other duties according to skill and availability.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2+ years Manufacturing or machine operation experience required.
• Must be comfortable monitoring multiple production machines.
• Ability to perform quality checks and maintain production standards.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Candidate MUST have good tenure. This is a permanent position with a 90-day guarantee and requires a reliable candidate.
• DT/BKGD required. Do NOT test for THC.
