Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour, depending on experience

We're hiring an experienced Lead HVAC Installer for commercial and industrial construction projects throughout the Columbus, Ohio market. This opportunity is ideal for a highly skilled HVAC professional who enjoys leading installations, mentoring team members, and delivering high-quality workmanship on complex projects.
If you have extensive experience installing commercial HVAC systems, reading blueprints, fabricating sheet metal, brazing copper, and coordinating field activities, this role offers excellent compensation, a company vehicle, steady work, and long-term career growth.
What You'll Do
- Lead installation of commercial and industrial HVAC systems and equipment.
- Install rooftop units, split systems, ductwork, piping systems, and related HVAC equipment.
- Perform copper piping installation and brazing.
- Fabricate and install sheet metal components.
- Run high-voltage and low-voltage electrical connections associated with HVAC systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, shop drawings, and project plans.
- Coordinate daily work activities with project managers, field personnel, subcontractors, and customers.
- Safely operate scissor lifts and other access equipment.
- Work from extension ladders and elevated work areas as required.
- Maintain quality standards, project schedules, and safety compliance.
- Train and mentor apprentice and junior installers.
- Ensure all work is completed according to company standards and customer expectations.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 10 years of commercial and industrial HVAC installation experience.
- Proven experience leading HVAC installation projects and crews.
- Extensive experience brazing copper piping systems.
- Sheet metal fabrication and installation experience.
- Experience with high-voltage and low-voltage wiring associated with HVAC systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
- Ability to safely work at heights.
- Experience operating scissor lifts and aerial work platforms.
- Ability to safely handle extension ladders.
- Must provide personal hand tools.
- Clean driving record required.
Preferred
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
- Trade school or HVAC technical training.
- Experience with large commercial mechanical systems and industrial facilities.
