Job Title: Warehouse Material Handler
Pay: $15.50 - 16.50
Job Description
The Warehouse Material Handler plays a critical role in supporting repair and test operations by accurately moving, storing, and handling electronic equipment and materials within a clean, climate‑controlled facility. This position helps maintain smooth production flow, high inventory accuracy, and strict safety and quality standards in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. This is not a pick‑and‑pack retail warehouse; the role requires strong attention to detail, careful product handling, and consistent adherence to ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) and quality procedures.
Responsibilities
- Receive, stage, and move inbound and outbound materials throughout the facility in an accurate and timely manner.
- Accurately pull, deliver, and transfer products to production, test, and repair areas to support ongoing operations.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks to move materials safely; use forklifts if qualified.
- Maintain accurate inventory transactions using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or internal inventory systems.
- Pick, pack, and prepare units and orders for shipment according to customer specifications and internal quality standards.
- Perform shipping and receiving activities, including unloading inbound materials and staging outbound shipments.
- Follow ESD, safety, and quality procedures at all times to protect electronic equipment and maintain a controlled environment.
- Perform basic inventory counts and assist with cycle counting to support inventory accuracy and reconciliation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following 5S standards and housekeeping expectations.
- Support production and repair teams by ensuring materials, components, and supplies are available when needed.
- Assist with general production and warehouse tasks as required, including general labor and warehouse packing activities.
- Use basic computer or scanner tools to record transactions, track orders, and update inventory records.
- Troubleshoot basic material flow or equipment issues and escalate problems when needed.
- Read and follow basic blueprints, schematics, or manuals when handling equipment or supporting repair operations, as applicable.
- Perform other duties as assigned based on operational demands in a fast‑paced, production‑driven environment.
Essential Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods during the shift.
- Basic computer or scanner experience for inventory and order processing tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling materials and updating records.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality to support consistent production and shipping schedules.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. and minimum age of 18 years.
- Comfort working in a fast‑paced warehouse or repair environment with clear performance expectations.
- Ability to follow ESD, safety, and quality procedures consistently.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights when required for material handling tasks.
- Strong focus on safety and careful handling of electronic equipment and materials.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or material handling role.
- Experience operating pallet jacks or forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with inventory systems or warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Understanding of ESD standards or work in quality‑controlled environments.
- Exposure to basic electrical systems and components.
- Experience with mechanical repairs or basic mechanical troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of HVAC fundamentals and general building or facility maintenance.
- Experience with plumbing and building maintenance tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, or manuals.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues in the work area and escalate appropriately when needed.
