Job Title: 3rd Shift Saw Operator
Job Description
This role operates multiple industrial saws to cut alloy and carbon materials to precise specifications for downstream production departments. You will train on day shift before moving to 3rd shift and will be responsible for accurately measuring, cutting, and staging materials while maintaining a safe and efficient work area.
Essential Skills
- Proven ability to operate saws, including bandsaws and other industrial cutting equipment.
- Demonstrated skill in reading and using a tape measure accurately.
- Ability to use squares and other basic measuring tools to verify dimensions.
- Experience with fork truck operation in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Ability to safely operate hoists, cranes, and lift carts for material handling.
- Basic computer skills for inventory verification, work order review, and data entry.
- Practical math knowledge to calculate measurements, quantities, and simple conversions.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills to complete assigned tasks within scheduled hours.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent bending, twisting, and squatting.
- Comfort working in a manufacturing environment with active machinery and material handling equipment.

Work Environment
This position is based in a manufacturing facility that operates production hours from Sunday through Thursday, 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., with training conducted on day shift prior to moving to 3rd shift. You will work around industrial machinery, including multiple saws, forklifts, hoists, cranes, and lift carts, in an environment that requires constant attention to safety and proper material handling. Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times, including metatarsal shoes, and you should expect regular lifting of up to 50 pounds along with frequent bending, twisting, and squatting. The facility is structured, production-focused, and designed to support efficient material flow from receiving through cutting and staging.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
