Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Technician to join our team on the first shift. This is a direct hire position where you will diagnose hydraulic failures and performance issues on production equipment, ensuring reliable operation and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose hydraulic failures and performance issues on production equipment.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic systems experiencing pressure loss, speed fluctuations, overheating, drift, leakage, contamination, and inconsistent operation.
- Perform hands-on repair, rebuilding, and replacement of hydraulic components including pumps, valves, cylinders, manifolds, accumulators, and filtration systems.
- Identify and resolve root causes of hydraulic failures rather than implementing temporary fixes.
- Analyze hydraulic system behavior under varying loads, temperatures, contamination levels, and cycle pressures.
- Read, interpret, troubleshoot, and modify hydraulic schematics and circuit designs.
- Design and implement hydraulic system improvements to enhance reliability, efficiency, and performance.
- Modify hydraulic circuits by resizing components, adjusting valve logic, improving cooling systems, and upgrading filtration processes.
- Conduct pressure, flow, and temperature testing to validate repairs and system modifications.
- Lead hydraulic troubleshooting efforts during equipment downtime and critical production interruptions.
- Work closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations teams to restore equipment to safe and stable operating conditions.
- Provide technical leadership and expertise for hydraulic-related projects and equipment upgrades.
- Develop and document standard troubleshooting procedures, corrective actions, and recurring failure countermeasures.
- Train and mentor maintenance technicians on hydraulic system operation, diagnostics, and best practices.
- Explain hydraulic system behavior and failure modes in practical, production-focused terms.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing downtime, improving reliability, and extending equipment life.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 5 years of direct, hands-on experience working with industrial hydraulic systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting stamping presses, automated equipment, and/or heavy industrial machinery.
- Proven ability to diagnose hydraulic failures, identify root causes, and restore equipment to reliable operation.
- Hands-on experience rebuilding, repairing, replacing, and commissioning hydraulic components and systems.
- Ability to read, interpret, create, and modify hydraulic schematics.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $72800.00/yr.
