Job Description
Join a dynamic team working on various commercial projects within a 60-mile radius of Ames. This position involves diverse construction tasks, including demolition, earthwork, excavations, concrete placement and finishing, framework erection, ceiling and wall installation, welding, and signaling operators. We value your expertise and will strive to assign you to tasks that match your skills, though flexibility is essential.
Responsibilities
- Perform demolition work and earthwork excavations.
- Place and finish concrete structures.
- Prepare layouts and erect framework for buildings.
- Install ceilings and walls with precision.
- Weld and signal operators as needed.
- Engage in other construction-related tasks as required.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of experience in construction, with a focus on carpentry (residential or commercial).
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Capability to work in various weather conditions.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in using basic hand tools such as tool pouches, hammer, tape measure, speed square, and utility knife.

Work Environment
Work in a commercial construction environment, wearing boots, jeans, and a t-shirt or sweatshirt. Collaborate in teams of 3-10 people on-site, with standard working hours from 7 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
