Job Description
Day Shift Sander Stacker $20.50/hr | Weekly Pay | Overtime Available! Apply today, work tomorrow, and get paid weekly! Ascend Staffing is hiring for a Day Shift Sander Stacker in Chehalis, WA.

No GED or High School Diploma required
Schedule:
Shift: 5:00 AM 3:30 PM
May work as late as 5:00 PM based on production needs
Monday Saturday
2 mandatory Saturdays per month
Must be available to work weekends as required
Job Responsibilities:
Pull green lumber from the sawmill and move materials throughout the production process
Maximize lumber yield by identifying flaws that should be trimmed or downgraded
Ensure lumber meets quality and grade standards
Make cuts according to supervisor instructions and production requirements
Remove defective or unsatisfactory pieces from conveyors and stacking areas
Stack, sort, and organize lumber for further processing
Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced mill environment
Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
Requirements:
Prior mill experience required
Ability to lift, carry, and move green lumber repeatedly throughout the shift
Ability to learn and apply proprietary lumber grades
Ability to read and accurately use a tape measure
Basic math and measurement skills
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and company procedures
Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
Strong commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE usage
Valid Driver's License required
Reliable transportation required
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, including THC
Must be authorized to work in the United States
