Job Title: Warehouse Technician – Supply Store
Job Description

The Warehouse Technician supports day-to-day warehouse operations by safely handling materials, managing inbound and outbound shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory records. This role works a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and requires the operation of forklifts and working at heights of six feet or more. The position is designated as safety sensitive and calls for a strong focus on safe work practices, attention to detail, and reliable execution of shipping, receiving, and stock management activities.

Responsibilities

  • Use material handling equipment to load and unload inbound and outbound shipments, including trucks and small parcel carriers such as UPS, Federal Express, Airborne, and DHL.
  • Safely operate forklifts and other assigned material handling equipment, ensuring all equipment is inspected and in safe operating condition before use.
  • Report all accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions promptly to the supervisor.
  • Stock and arrange products in warehouse racks to support efficient inventory turns and easy access to materials.
  • Perform cycle counts to determine accurate material quantities and reconcile differences as needed.
  • Receive material into inventory, including verifying part numbers, quantities, and related data fields, and accurately enter this information into electronic inventory systems.
  • Move material by quantity between designated warehouse locations, ensuring correct placement and documentation.
  • Locate and pick materials to and from warehouse locations to fulfill internal and external requests.
  • Resolve discrepancies related to material quantities, part numbers, and locations to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Place and secure pallets so they are stable and safe, observing proper pallet heights and ensuring material, racking, and equipment are not damaged.
  • Keep aisles and work areas clear of materials to support safe and efficient warehouse operations.
  • Practice safe material handling techniques at all times, following established safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Perform routine housekeeping tasks, including cleaning and organizing work areas as assigned.
  • Work overtime and weekends as required to meet operational needs in a safety sensitive environment.
Essential Skills
  • Experience working in a warehouse environment with shipping and receiving responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Knowledge of basic material handling techniques, including loading, unloading, and palletizing.
  • Ability to perform basic inventory tasks such as cycle counting and stock rotation.
  • Strong attention to detail when verifying part numbers, quantities, and data entry into electronic records.
  • Commitment to safety practices, including equipment inspections and reporting unsafe conditions.
  • Ability to work at heights of six feet or more in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Familiarity with parcel and freight carriers such as UPS, Federal Express, Airborne, and DHL.
  • Experience using electronic inventory or warehouse management systems.
  • Ability to maintain organized warehouse racks and ensure efficient product placement.
  • Capability to perform housekeeping and general maintenance of warehouse work areas.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced warehouse setting.

Work Environment

Appropriate work attire suitable for a warehouse setting and safe equipment operation is required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
