Job Title: CNC Brake Press Operator
Job Description
The CNC Brake Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake equipment to bend and form sheet metal components used in custom refrigeration and cooling systems. This role ensures parts are accurate, consistent, and meet quality standards, supporting production processes efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC and/or manual press brake machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and bend specifications.
- Select correct tooling, dies, and gauges for each job.
- Perform first‑piece and in‑process inspections using measuring tools.
- Adjust machine settings to maintain dimensional accuracy and quality.
- Handle raw materials and finished parts safely.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work area clean.
- Collaborate with supervisors, welders, and fabricators to meet production deadlines.
- Follow all safety, quality, and OSHA guidelines.
Essential Skills
- Experience with press brake operating in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Ability to read blueprints and basic shop drawings.
- Proficiency in using measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures, and angle gauges.
- Basic math skills for measurements and bend calculations.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced production environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- CNC press brake experience with brands such as Accurpress or similar.
- Sheet metal fabrication experience.
- Knowledge of bend allowances and material types including stainless, aluminum, and mild steel.

Work Environment
The work environment is laid back with a small, diverse group of experienced individuals. Training and leadership emphasize collaboration, with a focus on quickly getting up to speed due to the volume of work. The role involves operating in both coil and sheet metal weld areas. The dress code requires boots, long pants without holes, and flame retardant shirts. The position is on the 2nd shift from 2:15 PM to 12:45 AM, with up to 10 additional hours per week, including a 5-hour shift on Saturdays.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
