Duties:

\n Administer cognitive, achievement, social/emotional, adaptive, autism spectrum, and other relevant assessments to students.
\n Evaluate and interpret student data to make recommendations for appropriate services within the full range of regular and special education programs.
\n Obtain signatures on Permission to Evaluate forms and communicate to staff in a timely manner when completed
\n Interpret individual test findings and recommendations to parents of students who are being considered for placement in special education programs.
\n Consult with teachers, administrators, and other professionals on specific diagnostic findings concerning students to maximize educational development through placement or educational management.
\n Develop a school mentor program to support students' social-emotional development
\n Consult with parents concerning students’ learning potentials, achievement levels, and personality adjustments, and recommend ways of helping the students and providing sources of further professional assistance.
\n Prepare and submit special education data upon request
\n Share in the responsibility of reviewing incoming students’ records to ensure compliance.
\n Attend IEP Meetings as the LEA representative as needed
\n Follow timelines to complete paperwork in a timely manner
\n Perform other duties as assigned.

\n Minimum Qualifications
\n Valid Arizona School Psychologist certificate.
\n Valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card
\n Experience as a teacher or school counselor is preferred, OR any equivalent combination of experience and education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
