American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer for a general ultrasound unit with a strong focus on liver/kidney transplant patients and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
Details\n- \n
- General ultrasound unit in an acute care hospital setting \n
- High volume of venous doppler (arms and legs), liver biopsies, and neck/thyroid FNA procedures \n
- Liver and kidney transplant patient population \n
- Uses Philips and Siemens ultrasound equipment \n
- Cerner required for charting \n
- Monday through Friday day shifts, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts) \n
- Call requirement of 1 day per week and every 4th or 5th weekend (Saturday 7 AM to Sunday 7 AM and Sunday 7 AM to Monday 7 AM) \n
- May float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital \n

- Minimum of 3 years of ultrasound experience \n
- Current BLS and RDMS-AB certification required \n
- Strong proficiency in liver and kidney doppler required due to transplant patient population \n
- Cerner charting experience required \n
- 2 supervisor references required for consideration \n
- SSN and DOB required for consideration \n
- License required if applicable \n

- First-time travelers are welcome to apply \n
- Indiana residents are considered local candidates and may be accepted at a modified pay package \n
- Any former permanent or PRN employee of IU Health must have a 12-month break in employment before applying as a traveler \n
- Travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within IU Health are required to take a consecutive break to reset eligibility — out-of-state residents require a 90-day break and in-state residents require a 180-day break, effective 2/24/26 \n
- Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved \n
- Candidates are expected to work 2 out of 3 major holidays \n
- AHA and RQI BLS certifications are accepted and must be current \n
