Description

\n As an OR Registered Nurse First Assist, you will play a pivotal role in the operating room by assisting surgeons during procedures. Your responsibilities include preparing the surgical site, managing instruments, and ensuring patient safety. This position offers a 4x10 day schedule, allowing for a work-life balance while engaging in critical surgical care. The ideal candidate will have experience in ortho and general surgery, along with a proactive approach to patient care.

Requirements\n

• Graduate of a school of nursing: Required
\n
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS OR HS-PALS OR RQIPALS) certification: Preferred
\n
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Healthstream Advanced Cardiac Life Support (HS-ACLS) or RQIACLS: Required
\n
• Certification of completion of an approved didactic RNFA course: Required
\n
• Professional Liability Insurance (PLI): Required
\n
• Current Professional Liability insurance: Required
\n
• Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required
\n
• Certified Nurse, Operating Room (CNOR): Required
\n
• Three years scrub and circulate experience in an acute care facility: Required
\n
• Current RN license in state of practice: Required
\n
• Annual surgeon review: Required
