American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Burn ICU Nights position requiring 2 years of ICU experience and prior travel experience.
Details\n- \n
- Work in the Burn ICU of a hospital environment \n
- 13-week travel assignment \n
- Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:00) \n
- Option of 36 or 48 hours per week \n
- Patient ratio of 1:2 \n
- Unit duties include wound care, pain management, line placement, and assisting with intubation \n
- Uses Epic charting system \n
- Floating required to like units within scope as needed \n
- Every other weekend (EOW) required \n
- \n
- Active RN license (Oklahoma or Compact) currently in hand \n
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS \n
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required \n
- Previous travel nursing experience required \n
- Epic charting experience required \n
- Trauma Level II and teaching hospital experience preferred \n
- Skilled in IV therapy, central line care, arterial line management, and blood product administration \n
- Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory suctioning \n
- Experience managing CVA/acute stroke patients and multisystem organ dysfunction \n
- Skilled in cardiac drip titration and dysrhythmia management \n

- Provide critical care nursing to burn ICU patients including wound care and pain management \n
- Assist with line placement and intubation procedures \n
- Receive brief unit orientation prior to floating assignments \n
- Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position \n
- Former staff members must have been separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler \n
- No more than 3 days of requested time off (RTO) will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation \n
- Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position \n
