\nProfessional registered nurse gives direct and indirect specialized nursing care to patients while preparing for intra-operative experience. The nurse in the pre-op role coordinates the care of the patient and is the patient advocate throughout the pre-operative experience.\n

\nPerforms miscellaneous duties as assigned.\n
\n
\n

• Assesses the physical, psychosocial, and growth and development needs of the patient.
\n
• Develops a plan of care using assessment data. Plan of care is individualized to include specific patient problems and needs.
\n
• Implements nursing education assessment on assigned patients.
\n
• Evaluates the patient's response to nursing interventions and teaching.
\n
• Demonstrates leadership skills
\n

Minimum Education / Licensure / Certifications\n
\n

\n
• Florida R.N. licensure
\n
• Basic Life Support
\n

\n
Minimum Experience\n
\n

\n
• One year med/surgical experience preferred.
