Job Overview:
\nThe Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) provides specialized, high-acuity nursing care to critically ill or injured patients requiring continuous monitoring and advanced life support. The ICU RN collaborates with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver evidence-based care while ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive nursing care for critically ill patients. \n
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic status, neurological assessments, and other critical patient data. \n
- Operate and manage advanced life support equipment, including ventilators, cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, and invasive monitoring devices. \n
- Administer IV medications, vasoactive drips, blood products, and other critical care therapies. \n
- Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies. \n
- Assist with bedside procedures such as central line insertions, arterial lines, chest tubes, and intubations. \n
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. \n
Required Qualifications:

- Colorado or Compact state RN License \n
- Active BLS and ACLS certification via AHA \n
- NIHSS Certification \n
- 2 years of RN Intensive Care experience \n
