Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced float RN for a multi-unit ICU/ED/Med-Surg position requiring at least 3 years of experience across all three specialties and flexibility to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays.

  • Float position covering three units: ICU, Emergency Department (ED), and Medical-Surgical (Adult and Pediatric)
  • \n
  • Daily assignments are determined by the House Supervisor upon reporting
  • \n
  • Flexible 8- or 12-hour day and night shifts, with availability for weekends and holidays as needed
  • \n
  • 13-week contract
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active AZ RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
  • \n
  • Minimum 3 years of RN experience spanning all three specialty areas: Emergency, ICU, and Med-Surg/Pediatrics
  • \n
  • Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
  • \n
  • Moderate Sedation certification required (may be obtained through the facility upon confirmation)
  • \n

  • Open to returning travelers only — first-time travelers will not be considered
  • \n
  • Floating to other departments is expected and may include taking a full patient load or task-oriented duties (e.g., call lights, phones) depending on experience and competency
  • \n
  • Orientation is conducted on Mondays only; missing the compliance deadline will result in being moved to the following Monday's orientation
  • \n
  • Housing information is available upon request through the facility group documents
  • \n
  • Position is in a Native American health facility setting in a rural area of Arizona
  • \n
