American Traveler is hiring a Travel MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience for a 13-week hospital-based imaging assignment in Tyler, TX.

  • Hospital-based Imaging MRI department
  • \n
  • Day shift, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • \n
  • 13-week contract
  • \n
  • Flexibility to work other shifts and/or at additional campuses as needed
  • \n
  • PACS system used; experience as a PACS Superuser is expected
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred
  • \n
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or equivalent required
  • \n
  • ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
  • \n
  • BLS certification required (AHA only)
  • \n
  • Basic computer proficiency required
  • \n
  • License required if applicable
  • \n
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
  • \n
Additional Information\n
    \n
  • Perform a wide variety of routine and advanced MRI procedures
  • \n
  • Provide support to other imaging technologists and help facilitate efficient patient flow
  • \n
  • Conduct basic MRI patient and employee screening
  • \n
  • Troubleshoot basic equipment maintenance and report malfunctions to appropriate personnel
  • \n
  • Participate in QA processes and resolve issues related to image processing and archiving
  • \n
  • Ensure completed exams are properly scanned and stored in PACS, with ability to follow downtime procedures
  • \n
  • Participate in ongoing education and stay current with technical advances within scope
  • \n
  • 2 professional references required for consideration
