Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position in Peoria, IL, requiring a minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, Epic EMR proficiency, and an active IL RN license.

  • Post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) setting within a hospital environment
  • \n
  • Day shift, 8:00 AM–8:30 PM, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours per week
  • \n
  • May be required to float to other facilities within the Carle Health system, including Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Pekin Hospital, and Proctor Hospital
  • \n
  • Epic EMR — experience required
  • \n
  • Weekend and holiday shifts are on-call
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active IL RN license in good standing (temp license accepted)
  • \n
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
  • \n
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience
  • \n
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred
  • \n
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • \n
  • English language proficiency — must be able to write, read, comprehend, and speak fluent English
  • \n
  • Basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and web browsing
  • \n
Additional Information\n
    \n
  • Responsible for managing a designated patient caseload using the nursing process, including initial assessment, plan of care development, implementation, and ongoing modification
  • \n
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation to support the healthcare team
  • \n
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
  • \n
  • Candidates who have been on continuous assignment with Carle Health for 1 year must either convert to permanent employment or take a 6-month break in service before returning to any Carle Health location
  • \n
  • RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
  • \n
