Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with a minimum of 12 months of clinical ultrasound experience and RDMS certification for a night shift contract position in Elizabethtown, KY.

• Hospital-based ultrasound/sonography department
\n
• Performs a broad range of ultrasound examinations including abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, vascular, cardiac, and musculoskeletal studies
\n
• 4x10 night shifts, Monday–Thursday, 7:30 PM–6:00 AM
\n
• 40 hours per week
\n
• 13-week contract
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Minimum of 12 months of full-time clinical ultrasound/vascular experience
\n
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program
\n
• RDMS (ARDMS) required
\n
• BLS required
\n
• Hospital or medical imaging facility experience preferred
\n
• Additional certification in specialized ultrasound modalities (e.g., abdominal, obstetric, vascular) preferred
\n
• ARRT certification preferred
\n
• License required if applicable
\n
• MM/DD of DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• Obtain patient medical history and clinical information to assist in the interpretation of ultrasound findings
\n
• Adjust ultrasound settings (frequency, depth, gain, focus) to optimize image quality and diagnostic accuracy
\n
• Capture high-quality ultrasound images and cine loops, documenting relevant anatomy and pathology
\n
• Assist radiologists and physicians in interpreting ultrasound studies and providing technical support
\n
• Adhere to ALARA guidelines and infection control protocols, including proper disinfection of equipment and transducers
\n
• Document examination details in the EMR or radiology information system (RIS)
\n
• Perform routine equipment checks, maintenance, and troubleshooting
\n
• May participate in orientation of new staff and education of Radiologic Technology students
\n
