Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg travel position in Sierra Vista, AZ, requiring at least 1 year of experience and an active AZ or compact RN license.

Details\n

\n
• Acute care Med/Surg unit in a 34-bed hospital setting
\n
• Patient population includes geriatric and adult patients; pediatric patients are occasionally on the unit but are not assigned to travelers
\n
• Patient types include telemetry, surgical, and general medical
\n
• Patient ratio is 6:1
\n
• Equipment includes Alaris pumps, SCD machines, feeding tubes, and telemetry monitors
\n
• Charting is done in Cerner
\n
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12s
\n
• Must be available to occasionally work weekends on the same shift hours
\n
• On-call may be required when the unit is understaffed
\n
• Floating may include covering inpatient holds
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active AZ or compact RN license required
\n
• Current AHA certifications: BLS and ACLS required
\n
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required for travel consideration
\n
• Telemetry experience preferred
\n
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
\n
• AHA-issued certifications are required (non-AHA equivalents not accepted)
\n

• Bi-weekly orientation schedule
\n
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable; only scrubs and closed-toe shoes are permitted for clinical staff
\n
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
\n
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
\n
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
\n
• Every other weekend coverage is required
\n
