Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab/IR position in Colorado, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience and on-call availability including weeknights and weekends.

  • Acute care hospital setting with a combined Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology (IR) lab (2 suites)
  • \n
  • Patient population includes STEMI, NSTEMI, pacemaker placements, and IR cases, averaging 4 combined cases per day
  • \n
  • Uses Epic EMR, MacLab, and Siemens equipment; Epic experience required
  • \n
  • Schedule is 4x9-hour day shifts (7:00am–4:30pm)
  • \n
  • Weeknight call is approximately 10 shifts per month; weekend call (Friday–Saturday–Sunday) is required approximately every 3rd weekend
  • \n
  • Holiday call is required and shared among staff — 1 major summer holiday and 1 major winter holiday
  • \n
  • Call response time is 30 minutes
  • \n
  • Floating within Zone 3 facilities may be required in cases of extreme need
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active CO RN license or Compact (NLC) RN license required; pending licenses will not be accepted
  • \n
  • Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required; pending certifications will not be accepted
  • \n
  • Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience required
  • \n
  • IR experience preferred; willingness to learn IR procedures is acceptable
  • \n
  • Driver's license required for consideration
  • \n
  • 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
  • \n
  • Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility (permanent address verified by driver's license)
  • \n
Additional Information\n

  • Responsibilities include circulating and monitoring cases, pre- and post-procedure care, and pre- and post-procedure patient phone calls
  • \n
  • Scrubs are provided (facility blues)
  • \n
  • Unit-specific orientation is conducted over a couple of days following system-wide orientation; candidates must be on-site in Colorado for the week of orientation even if initial modules are remote
  • \n
  • Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year; candidates placed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
  • \n
  • Travelers are expected to float within their assigned zone and are responsible for securing housing that supports this requirement
